Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 July 2026

These terms govern your use of this website and our booking service. By booking throughPool Compliance Melbourne, operated by CertCycle, you agree to these terms.

Our role as a booking service

Pool Compliance Melbourne is a booking service. We are not a pool safety inspection company, and we do not carry out pool or spa barrier inspections ourselves. All inspections are performed by independent, third-party inspectors registered with the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC) specifically for pool barrier compliance. When you book through us, we arrange and coordinate an inspection with one of these independent inspectors on your behalf.

Bookings and pricing

Our standard fee for a residential pool or spa barrier inspection is $240, inclusive of the inspection and the Form 23 Certificate of Barrier Compliance if your barrier passes. If your barrier doesn't pass first time, your first re-inspection within 60 days is included free. Additional re-inspections are $90. This free re-inspection applies only where the original inspection was booked through us. Re-inspections following an inspection originally carried out by a different provider, and any re-inspection beyond the first, are charged at $90 (or our standard $240 fee where a different provider carried out the original inspection).

Prices are current at the time of publishing and may be updated from time to time. The price confirmed at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.

Scheduling

We aim to schedule inspections within 48 hours of booking, subject to inspector availability and reasonable access to your property. Scheduling times are estimates, not guaranteed windows, and may be affected by factors outside our control, including weather and inspector availability.

Cancellations and rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule a booking by contacting us with reasonable notice. Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments without notice may affect our ability to offer future scheduling flexibility.

Inspection outcomes

Whether a barrier passes or fails inspection is determined solely by the independent, BPC-registered inspector who attends your property, based on their professional assessment against the applicable Victorian pool and spa barrier standard. We do not influence, guarantee, or have visibility into an inspection outcome in advance of the inspector's assessment.

Your responsibilities

  • Providing accurate contact and property details when booking.
  • Providing reasonable access to the pool or spa barrier area at the scheduled time.
  • Arranging and paying for any repairs identified as necessary to pass an inspection.
  • Lodging your Form 23 Certificate of Barrier Compliance with your local council within the required 30-day window.
  • Ensuring your pool or spa is registered with your local council, where required.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CertCycle is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the acts or omissions of independent inspectors, delays in scheduling, or your failure to meet council registration or lodgement obligations. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Website use

The content on this website is provided for general information about Victorian pool and spa barrier compliance and is not a substitute for professional advice about your specific property. While we aim to keep information accurate and current, requirements can change, and you should confirm details relevant to your situation with your inspector or local council where it matters.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any disputes arising from them are subject to the jurisdiction of Victorian courts.

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
